General Deconditioning

It is not unusual to lose strength and become deconditioned as a result of cancer treatments, regardless of your previous level of fitness. Many people have found that participating in some form of exercise helps them to gradually increase their endurance and ability to function more independently. This can have emotional benefits as well.

Reconditioning

Physical therapists are well-suited to monitor and safely progress patients through exercise programs before, during, and after cancer treatment. For many, the value of a structured exercise program, with monitoring and encouragement, may be incalculable.
